Trizanne Barnard graduated from Stellenbosch University with a degree in Viticulture and Oenology. After working multiple vintages in Australia, France and Portugal she returned to her native South Africa and joined the winemaking team at Klein Constantia winery. In 2004 Trizanne was offered the opportunity of launching Anwilka wines in conjunction with Klein Constantia and leading Bordeaux winemakers. Four invaluable years at Anwilka, along with her international experience, gave her the confidence to start her own brand, and in 2008 Trizanne Signature Wines was born. Intrigued by the two quite diverse South African wine regions of Elim and the Swartland, TSW focuses on the cooler climates of South Africa’s wine regions. Trizanne is a passionate surfer and environmentalist, and in 2015 she launched Dawn Patrol Wines. This IPW-certified brand serves as a vessel for social and environmental give-back through its inherent ambassadorship for positive ocean awareness against pollution and positive rural community upliftment.
