Noa Maoz lives in the Golan Heights, and her education as a Viticulturist took her from the volcanic plateau to Jerusalem and Australia and back, giving her a Bachelor of Applied Science in Environmental Studies from Tel Hai, a MSc in Environmental Studies from the Hebrew University, a second master’s degree in Viticulture and Enology from the University of Adelaide … and the recognition as Israel’s leading vine management expert. She began her wine career as a laboratory technician at the Golan Heights Winery, gained harvest experience in Oregon, and most significantly, was taken on as viticulturist by the Israel Wine & Grapes Board to help combat the leafroll virus afflicting the Israeli wine industry. Now self-employed, Noa offers the most up-to-date advice available to growers and vineyard managers through her Under My Vine consultancy service.
